That sounds amazing and honestly I need to do the exact same thing for my workspace. Manually typing batch numbers is driving me insane.

I tried writing scripts once and ended up deleting my entire inventory database. Glad your technical skills are much better than mine.

What kind of scanner are you using for the tiny vial labels? Some models struggle with the curved glass surfaces.

Custom stickers are a game changer for real. I color code everything by compound category now so my eyes do not bleed looking at data all day.

I am just using a basic bluetooth laser scanner off Amazon nothing fancy at all. The key was printing custom QR code stickers with a higher contrast.

Color coding saved my sanity during my last big project. Though sometimes the printer ink smears if you get any bacteriostatic water on your fingers.

Pro tip use clear packing tape over the printed label before sticking it on the vial to prevent any liquid damage.

That packing tape trick is brilliant. I will definitely implement that tomorrow morning when I open a new box of samples.
