Have you tried shining your phone flashlight from the bottom through the glass? Sometimes that creates enough contrast to read the faded batch numbers.

Honestly I keep a roll of thermal sticker labels nearby and just slap my own clear text over the bad ones immediately.

I would rather not name them directly on here but they are pretty common in the community right now. It is just super frustrating when safety and clear identification should be the bare minimum.
