Freezer storage for reconstituted peptides is totally overhyped

That is kind of my point. Everyone acts like a tiny fluctuation ruins the whole experiment immediately.

Most hobbyists do not run HPLC on their own desk samples so they just guess based on subjective results.

You are definitely playing with fire if you leave sensitive sequences sitting out at room temp for too long. Degradation happens faster than you think once the bacteriostatic water is added.

Total nonsense. I have left vials on my workbench for a month by accident and they worked totally fine in subsequent assays.

It completely depends on the specific chain length and sequence stability. Some compounds break down within days while others are tough as nails.

Exactly this. Try doing that with a delicate multi amino acid fragment and watch your HPLC purity drop straight into the toilet.

HPLC data does not lie. If you run proper testing you can literally watch the peaks degrade over time when stored improperly.

Spot on. Without proper analytical testing people are just making wild assumptions either way.
