Does freezing reconstituted vials actually degrade research peptides over time?

That is super helpful. When you split them into smaller aliquots do you notice any residue sticking to the walls of the plastic tubes after thawing?

That is the ideal way to do it if your budget allows for single use vials. For multi use setups though you kind of have to find that sweet spot with bac water storage.

Honestly I just keep everything lyophilized until the exact day of the experiment. Reconstitution is always the weak point for long term stability in my experience.

Same here. I always split my batches into smaller micro vials before freezing so I never have to cycle the same solution twice.

I checked my old titration logs from last autumn and noticed a slight drop in activity around day thirty in the fridge. Freezing them seems to halt most degradation though as long as you avoid accidental thawing.

Only if the buffer lacks proper carrier protein or if the concentration is way too low. Using low binding tubes completely solved that issue for my current lab trials.
