Oh man, I totally get this. My research subject once managed to chew through a plastic container to get to some stored vials. I came in the next morning to a crime scene of tiny plastic shards and empty vials. It was impressive, if not a little terrifying.

You could try a decoy vial. Fill it with something unappealing but safe, and see if that distracts him. Might buy you some time.

Honestly, I have never had this problem. My research subjects are usually pretty chill. Maybe yours is just extra motivated by the compound itself?
