Hey everyone, I see a lot of new researchers asking about how to properly store their peptides. It is super important for maintaining their integrity for your studies. You want to make sure your hard earned research compounds stay viable.
Generally, lyophilized (powder) peptides are pretty stable. Keep them in a cool, dark place, away from light and moisture. A refrigerator is usually good for longer term storage, but some people even use a freezer for very long term. Just make sure they are sealed tightly to prevent any humidity getting in.
Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, things change a bit. They become much more fragile. Reconstituted peptides should always be stored in the refrigerator, typically at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Avoid freezing reconstituted peptides as it can degrade them. Also, try to avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles if you do choose to freeze the powder form.
