Anyone else notice varied solubility with different batches of research compounds?

It can definitely happen. Purity levels, even within research grade, can vary slightly between batches. Also, how it was lyophilized can affect the powder's structure and thus its dissolution rate.

That's a good point about lyophilization. I hadn't considered that as a factor. So it's not necessarily a red flag then, just something to note?

Yeah I've seen this too. Sometimes it's like instant and other times it's a bit cloudy for a second before clearing up. Always clears up though so I haven't worried much.

I always warm my reconstitution water slightly, like to room temp, if it's been in the fridge. Seems to help with any stubborn dissolving issues.

I've had batches where the powder itself looked slightly different, almost more clumpy. Those usually take a bit longer to dissolve for me.

As long as it fully dissolves and the solution is clear, it's usually fine for research purposes. If you see particulate matter that doesn't dissolve, that's a different story.
