Why my lab subjects currently live a more organized life than I do
Posted by clinical21 in Dosing and Protocols
I sat down this morning to map out a precise dosing schedule for the current research cycle and somehow managed to spill bacteriostatic water directly onto my keyboard while simultaneously knocking over a row of empty vials. My spreadsheet looks like abstract art drawn by a caffeinated raccoon and I am honestly questioning my life choices.
It is truly humbling to spend hundreds of dollars on high purity compounds and precise microgram scales only to completely lack the basic fine motor skills required to use them without incident. If my subjects develop self awareness they are going to unionize over my sheer clumsiness.

At least your subjects are getting a proper circus show with every protocol adjustment.

Are we sure these compounds are even doing anything or are we just playing expensive chemistry set games in our kitchens?

Pro tip use a plastic tray with raised edges for all your prep work so things cannot roll away into the abyss.

It is definitely an expensive hobby disguised as serious scientific inquiry.

They are definitely entertained. I dropped a tiny cap under the desk and spent twenty minutes on my hands and knees talking to myself.

Honestly trays saved my sanity after my third vanished vial incident.
