Honestly, I just keep everything in the darkest, coldest part of my regular fridge and hope for the best. For research purposes, it has always seemed fine.

That is fair, I do try to read up on each one. But even then, the recommendations can be vague. And when you are dealing with such small amounts, any degradation feels like a huge loss.

I think a lot of it comes down to understanding the specific compound. Some are way more stable than others. Do your homework on each one.

Yeah, it is a real headache. I ended up investing in a fancy lab grade freezer with temperature logging just to ease my mind a bit. Still, the anxiety is real.

Totally feel you on this. I have a dedicated mini fridge just for my research compounds and I still stress about it. The temperature fluctuations are my biggest concern.

My solution was to buy smaller quantities more frequently. Less to worry about storing long term for my research.

While careful storage is important for research integrity, obsessing over every tiny detail might be counterproductive. Focus on consistent, reasonable conditions.

I disagree a bit with that last comment. For research, precision matters. We are trying to get accurate data, not just 'good enough' results.
