BW is fine but some peptides really do better with sterile water for injection. Especially if you are planning shorter term studies. The benzyl alcohol can sometimes interfere with certain assays.

Good post. I always tell new people to start with BW. It is the safest bet for most common research peptides. Keeps things stable.

For general purpose research though, BW is a good starting point. Most beginners are not doing super sensitive cell culture. It is about balancing stability with potential interference.

I have heard that too. For my cell culture work, I avoid BW entirely. It is just too harsh for delicate cell lines. Sterile water all the way.

Exactly. For many in vivo animal studies, BW provides that extra layer of protection against contamination. You do not want to lose a whole study because of a bad batch.

I always use sterile water unless the peptide specifically states BW. Why introduce an unnecessary variable if you do not have to? Purity of the solution is paramount.

It is not an unnecessary variable if it extends the shelf life of your reconstituted peptide. That is a huge benefit for long term projects. Just something to consider.
