Why do people blindly trust third party testing labs on a simple PDF

You guys are way too paranoid. If a lab is ISO accredited you can trust their data without losing sleep over it.

Nothing is foolproof so we just have to weigh our risks and stop pretending any single piece of paper makes a compound completely safe.

Verifiable batch numbers do not mean much if the sample sent for testing was pure while the bulk inventory is garbage. That is an old trick.

You raise a fair point about fake docs but reputable vendors use established labs with verifiable batch numbers. It is not all smoke and mirrors.

At the end of the day group testing is our only real defense against bad batches if we pool funds for independent runs.

True. Most folks do not even check if the lab address on the PDF actually exists or matches phone records.

ISO accreditation only matters if the specific facility actually performed the test on that exact vial which is rarely tracked.

Group testing is great until someone messes up the chain of custody and ruins the whole assay.

Exactly. Batch cherry picking is a massive issue in this space and nobody wants to talk about it.
