Mass spectrometry data is where the real truth is anyway since chromatography alone can sometimes mask certain peptide impurities.

Spot on about mass specs since co eluting contaminants will slip right past a standard purity scan without that extra analytical depth.

Honestly I think paying extra for independent testing is a total waste of money when most reputable sources already provide reliable documentation. You are just paying twice for the same peace of mind.

That is a valid point about reference standards but it is still way better than having zero documentation at all.
