Honestly I think some of these labs are just taking advantage of the panic surrounding shady vendors lately. They know people are paranoid about purity so they charge whatever they want.

Have you tried looking at university labs or group testing pools? Sometimes pooling samples with other researchers cuts the cost down quite a bit.

Spot on man the pricing inflation at independent labs is ridiculous right now. They know demand skyrocketed so they just jacked up all their rates.

I actually disagree slightly because specialized HPLC equipment calibration and solvent costs have genuinely gone up significantly over the last two years. It might not purely be greed.

Even if overhead went up triple the price is still insane markup. They are definitely padding those margins because they have a captive audience.

Exactly my point it is highway robbery. At this rate running basic analytics on every batch eats up the whole monthly supply budget.

Group testing sounds great in theory but coordinating everyone and shipping samples securely is a massive headache.
