Great question and honestly I think most of us underestimate the loss on the vial walls during the initial pull.

I started using larger volumes for reconstitution just to make the math easier and minimize those little measurement skews.

I always weigh the empty vial first and then weigh it again after lyophilized powder is added to check supplier accuracy against the label claim.

Actually I disagree slightly because larger volumes mean your subject has to process more liquid per dose which can introduce other variables.

Weighing empty and full is hardcore dedication to data integrity but it is the only way to know for sure what you are working with.

That makes a lot of sense. Moving to a two ml volume instead of one ml definitely helped my precision on paper at least.

Good point on the liquid volume constraint. You have to balance math precision with practical administration limits for the subject.
