My lab subject knocked over the bacteriostatic water and I want to cry

So I am setting up my workspace for some basic lab work today feeling like a total mad scientist. I carefully placed my brand new vial of bac water right on the edge of the desk because apparently my brain operates on chaos. Naturally my elbow found it immediately and sent the glass flying across the room like a tiny missile. Now I am sitting here staring at a puddle on the floor with zero liquid left and my research plans completely derailed for the week. The peptide is just sitting there in the tray mocking me with its freeze dried little puck of potential. If anyone needs me I will be practicing my hand eye coordination with empty plastic cups for the next six hours.

That sounds painful. I am genuinely worried my clumsiness is going to cost me more in spilled fluids than in actual research materials at this rate.

Pro tip keep your supplies in a deep plastic Tupperware container while working. It acts like a containment zone for your bad decisions.

I spilled a whole bottle of alcohol prep pads everywhere yesterday so do not feel too bad about the clumsiness today.

True story I once dropped an entire tray of supplies down the basement stairs. Watched them bounce one by one in slow motion.

The Tupperware trick is a lifesaver. My lab bench looks like a Tupperware outlet store because I trust my hands about as far as I can throw them.

Alcohol pads everywhere sounds sticky and awful. At least water dries without making everything smell like a hospital pharmacy.

Fair point. Time to order a backup case of water so this never happens again.
