I think the issue is when researchers treat these stacks as established protocols rather than exploratory avenues. It is fine to explore, but we need to be clear about the level of evidence.

OP, I agree with your skepticism. Many 'stacks' seem to be based on a 'more is better' mentality rather than actual data. It can complicate data interpretation if you are testing multiple variables at once.

I think it depends on the stack and the research goal. For some things, the mechanisms are complementary. For example, one peptide might promote cell migration while another reduces inflammation, both contributing to a repair process. It is not always just random mixing.

While I appreciate the scientific rigor, sometimes early stage research involves exploring combinations that might show promise. If something works anecdotally, it can then lead to more focused studies. It is a stepping stone.

I totally get where you are coming from. For some stacks, like BPC 157 and TB 500, there is a good amount of anecdotal evidence from other researchers suggesting synergistic effects. But 'anecdotal' is the key word there for sure.

That is fair, cyclefox. But 'complementary' is still a bit vague without specific studies on the combined effect, right? Are we just assuming synergy based on individual peptide actions?

I have seen some pretty compelling results in my own research with certain stacks. Not everything needs a double blind, placebo controlled trial to suggest a direction for further study. Sometimes the results speak for themselves, even if not fully understood yet.
