What about freezing lyophilized peptides? I've heard some people do that for really long term storage, like a year or more.

Yeah, I made the mistake once of leaving a reconstituted vial out for a day. Definitely noticed a difference in my research results afterwards. Lesson learned the hard way.

Thanks for the reminder about light exposure. I usually just throw them in the fridge but never really thought about keeping them in the dark too. Will start using an opaque container.

That's a solid approach! Especially if you know you won't be using it right away. The less exposure to environmental factors, the better for compound stability.

I always put mine straight into the fridge even before opening. Better safe than sorry for my research compounds.

I've frozen lyophilized peptides before with no issues. Just make sure they are completely dry and in an airtight container to prevent moisture absorption.

Freezing reconstituted peptides is a no go for most though. I tried it once with something and it just crashed out of solution when thawed. Not good for research.

This is super helpful! I always wondered about the room temp stability during shipping. Good to know my recent order should be fine.

My vendor actually recommends freezing their lyophilized products if you plan on keeping them for over 6 months. Always check the specific product info though.
